When Wattif EV approached us, one thing was already decided: the logo would stay. Rather than seeing that as a limitation, we saw an opportunity. If the most visible identifier couldn't change, everything around it had to work harder. Wattif is a Norwegian electric-vehicle charging company expanding across Europe. As the business grew, it needed a brand system that could connect very different environments — from a presentation on a screen to a charging station beside the road. So we didn't redesign the logo. We redesigned the world around it. We reconsidered how the existing identity was being used, developed new logo rules, strengthened the colour palette and introduced a clearer colour hierarchy. Photography and art direction gave the brand a more distinctive visual attitude, bringing the different elements together into a new set of brand guidelines. But a brand system only matters when it leaves the guidelines. We rolled it out across the business — stationery, presentations, email signatures, social media, signage, print, merchandise and team clothing — and then took it into the physical world: charging stations across Europe, branded spaces, exhibition stands and everyday objects. Campaigns and key visuals could change in character while still belonging to the same recognisable world. The constraint became the opportunity. The logo stayed exactly where it was. Everything around it became more memorable.
